Can I take Vitamin E and Vitamin B12 for hair loss? I don't have other problems, just hair loss and someone..

These vitamins are good for you, but won't help too much with hair loss.Try a multi vitamin and some additional biotin(which is a type of b vitamin)This should help.I recommend 2500 mcg of biotin and a time released multi vitamin. Both available at health food and supplement shops or www.gnc.comCan I take Vitamin E and Vitamin B12 for hair loss? Hair loss problem?

so many ppl told me that stress causes hair loss. But does it occur right at that moment when we're stressed? or does it take some time and then the hair starts falling out? i remember last year in august or something..i couldn't get into the school i wanted so i was really depressed and my grades were quite bad, a whole lot of stuff happened but my hair didn't fall out, it was pretty normal. everything was normal until february that my hair started to fall out. now it doesnt fall out alot but when i brush my hair about 10-20 strands will fall out. So..does it still have something to do with the stress i was having before? is my hair shedding cuz of stress starting just now? why not atm when i was feeling stressed? and when will this stop? i hope it's not permanentHair loss problem?
Hair goes into a ';resting'; stage for 3 months before it falls out. So if your hair is falling out now, it absolutely can be something from 3 months ago. If it is stress, don't worry, it's only a temporary situation :-)Hair loss problem?
well most of my hair falls out whenever i'm brushing it. like about 10 strands fall out. is that normal?

well 1st it could be your age and genetic, meds, stress, change of environment, etc. there are lot of reasons for hair loss. if you want to ask me some questions. Melilli123@yahoo.com
Your hair has a ';resting state,'; but they're not all in the same stage at the same time, or we would all be bald half the time! Hair loss can be due to stress but hormones are a more likely culprit. Ever been diagnosed with hypothyroidism? You're awfully young for any health problems, I'd just blame it on the stress. Don't worry, it will come back. My hair seems to fall out a lot too but I dont' have any less than I used to, so I guess it's normal. Good luck, and don't stress about it lol ;-)

Good product is Nioxin shampoo/conditioner/products for thinning hair.
Hi,

Stress is definitely one of the main causes for hair loss.

Here are some home remedies you can try:

* Make lettuce and spinach juice and mix them together. Wash your face with the mixture daily.

* Break one egg and apply on your hair for 1 hour, massage your hair a few times for better results.

* Pour olive oil on your head and massage it into your scalp to prevent more hair loss.

* Boil water in a pot and add rosemary leaves, mix and cook until you get a mixture. Wait for 30 minutes and apply on your hair.

* Massage Aloe Vera into your scalp wash it with lukewarm water.

* Mix honey and egg yolk and apply on your hair. Let it stand for 20-40 minutes and wash well with cold water so it won't stick.

* Use coconut milk instead of shampoo when washing your hair.

* Henna is very good for the hair, it makes it shine and also very good when losing hair. Apply henna on your hair, let it stand for a few minutes but not too long or your hair will turn red.

* Mix rosemary leaves with lemon, egg white, and olive oil. Apply on your hair for 20-40 minutes and wash with cold water.

* Smear honey on your scalp, let it stand for 20 minutes and wash with warm water. Be careful the honey might stick to your hair, use only with short hair.

Good luck
Stress can be one reason for hair fall but don't think it will take this long to react may be you hair should be a little damaged. It is normal to shed some hair each day as part of a cycle of growing new hairs and loosing some. Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. I have to many problems in my body. Way to many. I used this medicine to rub my head which didnt work and so much otehr stuff. I started to put oil on my hair i hope that helps. My parents are really concerned they told me they will pay anyting but it has to work. That didnt work out for me. SO i hope u can help.Hair loss problem?
Your only 13 years old. You shouldn't be so angry with your self. I think hair loss probably runs in your family, its no big deal. Think about getting a natural hair transplant if you really, really, really want hair. What I dont understand is that you have a lot of facial hair, when you clearly state that you have hair losing problems. Try talking to a doctor, or a skin/ hair specialist. They can probably help you.

    -byeHair loss problem?
My nephew started losing his hair when he hit puberty. Just the hair on his head. He was (and is) very hairy otherwise. Baldness runs in our family, but doesn't affect all of us. His own brother, for instance, has all his hair on his head, but isn't very hairy otherwise. The nephew who lost his hair just shaved the sparse hair a few years later, and is considered to be the best looking guy in his group of friends, no matter that he's bald. When he was in his teens, the girls thought that was sort of gross--his being so bald. But now any girl he meets would fall at his feet. Just give yourself time. Baldness is a sign of virility. So you're virile. What girl can resist that?
iam a 58 yr. old man and i can tell you, that i have hair on my back,on my chest, legs, arms, about everywhere, except my head.i think i read somewhere it about hormones, have your parents take you to the dr. and have your hormones checked, you might have more then you need.the dr. will take a blood test to determine your hormones.i feel, like iam not cheering you up,but i dont think theres anything thats harmful to your health, its just your starting, before any other boy your age.please go see a dr.,he might be able to prescribe you some pills to slow the progress.

The faster way to really change the health of your hair is by taking supplements that work internally on the follicle where hair is made; that can only happen with systemically provided support, which means supplements that you take internally.. Keep in mind, regardless of how many or how much you take of any supplement, hair is never going to grow at a ';Jack and the beanstalk'; type of rate, the most you can hope for is to improve the strength and health of each hair follicle and to see an incremental increase in the rate of its growth

Suggest you to use a herbal supplementation formulated from the best known herbs for healthy hair growth from roots. The rare herbs and active ingredients that help so are Fo-Ti, Stinging Nettle, Kelp, SawPalmetto, Silica, Rosemary, Inositol, Biotin and Horsetail.

Recommend to you the following for a minimum period of 6 weeks for visible results leading to reversal of the premature greying of your hair :

    i) Segals Advanced Scalp Formula: For cleaning the scalp and revitalizing the root of the hair for new hair growth. It makes the root free of all sebum, grime, flakes and dirt thereby strengthening the root and thus encouraging hair to grow. The blood circulation in the root is considerably enhanced, laying the foundation for healthy hair growth. To be applied on the scalp every night before bed. Not sticky. Will get absorbed in the scalp on its own.

ii) Segals Advanced Hair Supplement: For stimulating hair-cell metabolism and strengthening the connective tissue. Active ingredients in the Supplement have a nutritional ability to not only grow back lost hair but also restore damaged/dry/weak hair to its natural colour and strength. Contains rare herbs like Fo-Ti, Saw-Palmetto, Kelp, Stinging Nettle, Inositol, Biotin, Horsetail and Silica, apart from other active botanical extracts, which are proven to show healthy hair growth from the roots.

Alongwith the Formulation and Hair Supplement suggested above, you need to you use Segals Advanced Dandruff Shampoo/Conditioner to arrest your problem. Please don't use any commercial shampoos available in the market that are Surfactant based %26amp; contain Sodium Lauryl Sulphate / Cocamide / Propylene Glycol / Sodium Chloride / Artificial Colouring or Pearlizing Agents. Forget Clinic Plus...It is just another commercial shampoo with no known active ingredients....just advertising..

Apart from the precautions listed above, please follow the following in general:

    1. Drink plenty of water,

    2. Avoid stressful situations; do yoga/meditation to reduce stress,

3.Have a balanced diet containing lot of fresh fruits and leafy vegetables,

4.Do not blow dry too close to the scalp,

5.Do not brush wet hair; instead use a wide-tooth comb

Honestly, No comparable product available in India with the above ingredients %26amp; such stupendous results. Visit the source site below to see what the ingredients are and how each ingredient works to promote healthy and strong hair .....from the roots.

    Hair loss problem?!!!?

Hey, I'm 19, male... I dyed my hair about 3 months ago. One of my lady friends dyed my hair dark brown for me, i think it was the permanent dye I don't remember. but neither of us really liked the way it looked so I believe it was either the next day or 2 days later we did it again, this time i'm positive it was permanent jet black hair dye. I think loreal. anyways everything was fine for a week maybe, then my hair started to fall out! 3 or 4 hairs on my pillow in the morning, 2 or 3 on my hands when i'd shampoo my hair in the shower for a period of 3 months?! 3 months! and my hair has thinned consideribly, i used to have thick awesome hair and now i'm scared it's not going to grow back as thick if at all! it just keeps getting thinner and thinner on one side!? what do i do?! are there vitamins i can take? do i need to see a dermatologist???????? any comments/advice would be helpful, thx.Hair loss problem?!!!?
Now you see the effects of hair dye. That happens when your hair has been given too much chemicals! Remember, its not just a coloring element, it has something that makes the color cling to your hair and scalp. What you need to do is grow new hairs! and don't dye it all the time or never!

Can thyroid problems actually lead to hair loss?

here are some info for u

http://thyroid.about.com/cs/hairloss/a/hairloss.htmCan thyroid problems actually lead to hair loss?
Yes. http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0oGkl5Vh31J5gCan thyroid problems actually lead to hair loss?
    yes
Yes according to many different health books that is one thing it can do, even the eyebrows. Also recurrent infections, migraines, hoarseness, respiratory infections, constipation, depression, difficulty concentrating, slow speech, goiter, and drooping, swollen eyes. The most common symtoms are fatigue and intolerance to cold. It is the bodys internal thermostat regulating the temperature by secreting two hormones that control how quickly the body burns calories and uses energy. If the thyroid secretes too much hormone, hyperthyroidism results, too little hormone results in hypothyroidism. To test yourself for an underactive thyroid, keep a thermometer by your bed at night. When you awaken in the morning, place the thermometer under you arm pit and hold it there for fifteen minutes. Keep still and quiet try not to move. Any motion can upset your temperature reading. A temperature of 97.6 or lower may indicate an underactive thyroid. Keep a temperature log for five days. If your reading are consistently low, consult a doctor.

Talk to your doctor if you notice sudden or patchy hair loss or more than usual hair loss when combing or washing your hair. Sudden hair loss can signal an underlying medical condition and may require medical treatment.

Vegetarian? Hair Loss and Other Problems?

I was talking to this pretty smart guy today. He says that if a vegetarian (about the age of 16 or so) who has doesn't get enough iron and protein and such, by the time they are 40, they could have hair loss and other major problems. Also that by being a vegetarian, one can not gain muscle mass. Is this true? If so, what are those problems?Vegetarian? Hair Loss and Other Problems?
    It absolutely true

if you're considering being a vegetarian go to a doctor for vitamins.

Vegetarian? Hair Loss and Other Problems?
If you belive that, then I have some beach property in Arizona for you. I'm vegan. I'm very healthy. I even breast feed my 11.5 month old daughter. She eats whole grains, fruits and veggies. She's healthy and growing. This guy sounds ignorant.

    Hair loss problem.......?

What causes baldness... not that i'm getting bald... i'm just curious?Hair loss problem.......?
Most cases of baldness are just the natural pattern of hair growth in genes. Specifically, the biggest contributors (gene-wise) are on the X chromosome(s). This is why baldness in women is so much less common. If you're a guy you have one X chromosome, so if it doesn't tell your body to grow hair when you mature you won't. Women have two Xs, and if either one codes for hairiness on the head then they will keep their hair throughout their lives. Testosterone levels also play a role, with high levels of testosterone contributing to the rate and extent of hair loss, in men or women. This is why some women start to experience hair loss if they go on hormone replacement therapy, because their body will produce a bit more testosterone to compensate for the extra estrogen (to keep things in balance).

Of course, there are environmental causes of baldness, like exposure to certain chemicals, radiation, etc, but these types of baldness usually aren't permanent.Hair loss problem.......?
Hair loss is due to a lot of reasons such as genes, diet ,water,soap/shampoo,and maintenance. when I say genes it means family hereditary and the rest is on how you maintain your hair ,good oil massage and shower weekly .should keep your hair healthy and glowing.

It can be hereditary from either sides of the parents or miss use or abuse of the head and using it to do roles and spins without any precaution / protection for the friction to the head and hair.

Baldness can also because due to mite eating the root of the hair or due to abuse of drugs for cancer and so on.
Here a few simple home remedies which can be tried at home to control hair fall. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo.Rub oil into the scalp. Wring out a towel in hot water and wrap it on the head. Keep it on for 15 minutes. Shampoo and dry well. Can thyroid problems cause hair loss?

Definitely! Hair loss is one of the classic symptoms of hypothyroidism, (underactive thyroid). Can thyroid problems cause hair loss?

yes i have been on synthroid for 25 years i lost all my eyebrows
    yes
Oh honey....hair loss and LOTS of other things too!!! My endocrinologist suggested I purchase a specific book for information. I cant lay my hands on it right now, but I think the title is ';Your Thyroid';, and it's easily found at any of the bigger book stores. check it out!! Lots of really good information....I was diagnosed hypothyroid 10 years ago, and still pull that book out as a reference!! Good luck!!
Certainly. Hypothyroidism (Low Thyroid Levels) can cause dry brittle hair that can easily fall off and cause hair loss. Hyperthyroidism (High Thyroid Levels) usually cause oily hair and don't usually cause hair loss.

Female 40 no health problems (blood tests)but no 1 can explain/help hair loss@start of forehead, rogaine only?

    rogain not always work!!!

anyway as you know - hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few.

year ago my husband suffered from hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. the things that really worked for him was:

    1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

    2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

    3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

    4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

    5) also he used herbal treatment - TrichoZed

It is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for him!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry TrichoZed but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.trichozed.info

It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) - a major cause of hair loss!

    good luck!

not only my and my husband`s own personal experienceFemale 40 no health problems (blood tests)but no 1 can explain/help hair loss@start of forehead, rogaine only?
You might be starting menopause. During this particular stage, hormonal imbalance takes place in the woman鈥檚 body for the nth time. To help you understand menopause and hair loss, consider how changes in the body could lead to the latter. During this condition, women tend to have extremely high levels of androgen circulation in the body. Note also that insulin resistance may be a problem. Both of these things are factors to hair loss.Female 40 no health problems (blood tests)but no 1 can explain/help hair loss@start of forehead, rogaine only?
    Hi,

A friendly advice, do not use Rogaine. It can have some serious side-effects. Initially even i was thinking of using Rogaine but then reading about all the side-effects that it can have I thought of using a hair loss shampoo instead. If you are experiencing any kind of hair loss the first thing you should do is use switch to a SLES Free shampoo. Most regular shampoos have this chemical called SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfate). This chemical is the primary cause of hair loss. Then why do companies use SLES as the base ingredient ? Answer is simple, because it is ';CHEAP';. Change to a herbal shampoo as soon as possible and stop putting harmful chemicals on your scalp. They can actually kill your hair follicles.

The shampoo that has helped me in stopping hair loss and filling up the bald patches is Zulvera. It can be found at http://www.herbalhairshampoo.com .And if i remember correctly it does work for women aswell. Anyways for more information you can also check out: http://www.golden-reviews.com/hairloss
    Hi abby ,

You could try Provillus ( http://budurl.com/ProvillusTreatment ) - worked well for me + it's FDA approved.

    BUY A WIG!!Hair loss problems..what should i doo?
Meaghan, are you eating enough fat? If you aren't that can cause hair loss.
Hair is made up of calcium and proteins, so maybe you need to eat more items with those things in them such as fish, vegetables, and fruits. water is also extremly healthy for your hair. if your hair is dry, you can apply oil to help it from major breakage. i've found that olive oil works really well. also if your hair is too oily, then you can try washing it every night.

you may also want to try a good leave in conditioner after you wash it. may i recommend paul mitchells leave in conditioner? it works great and prevent breakage. also, try not to use so much heat on your hair, such as blow dryers, straightners and curling irons. if you want to curl your hair, try using rollers. they work great and arnt as damaging.

hope this helps, and good luck ;]
I don't know if you are but if you're anerexic, stop because your hair will keep falling out.
The best treatment is to take a course of vitamins known to be effective in promoting hair growth. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.
Hi, have the same problem, hair thinning like anything. I read recently that biotin is a good thing to take for hair loss. I would not worry about eating fat as someone stated, I eat plenty o it and my hair is still thinning. I have not tried the biotin yet but will give it a go. Also, underactive thyroid can cause this and often does. Check with the Dr. they can do a simple test for the thyroid activity. It is discouraging I know but if you get a good answer from someone that really knows let me know as you and all have access to my e-mail.

I am suffering from loss of hair .what should i do to recover from this problem?

ok.....first eat a healthy diet and relax......

hav occasional oil massages 1 hour before u wash ur hair

    otherwise for

OILY HAIR AND HAIR LOSS: Excessive oiliness of the scalp can lead to hair loss. Wash your hair daily, using very little shampoo — one teaspoon for long hair and half teaspoon for short hair. Dilute it with a little water and use it. After washing, add the juice of a lemon to half a mug of water and use it as a last rinse. Have henna treatment once a week. Add four teaspoons each of lemon juice and coffee, two raw eggs and enough tea water to the henna powder and mix it into a thick paste. Apply it on the hair and wash it off after an hour. If you do not wish to use egg, add more tea water. For tea water, boil used tealeaves in water. Cool and strain before using. Include fresh fruits, raw salads and sprouts in your daily diet. Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water. Add the juice of a lemon to a glass of water and have it first thing in the morning. and REMEMBER DANDRUFF can also lead to pimples ,hair loss n oily scalp.

FOR LIFELESS HAIR: Once or twice a week, heat pure coconut oil and apply it on the scalp and hair. Then dip a towel in hot water, squeeze out the water and wrap the towel around your head like a turban. Keep it on for five minutes. Repeat the hot towel wrap three or four times. This helps the hair and the scalp absorb the oil better. Use a mild herbal shampoo. After each shampoo, apply a conditioner, massaging it lightly into the hair. Leave it on for two minutes before washing it off with water. You can have henna treatment thrice a month, adding four teaspoons each of lemon juice and coffee, two raw eggs, two teaspoons of oil and enough curd to the henna powder. It will make your hair look healthy and lustrous.

DANDRUFF:Twice a week, heat pure coconut oil and apply it on the scalp at night, using cotton wool. Leave it on overnight. Next morning, apply the juice of a lemon on the scalp and wash your hair after half an hour. Apply henna once a week.

HAIR CLEANSER:Take a handful each of dried reetha, amla and shikakai. Soak them in one litre water overnight. Next day, simmer the herbs on a low fire till the water reduces by half. Allow the mixture to cool and then strain it with a clean cloth. Use the liquid to wash hair. This quantity should be enough for four to five washes. Refrigerate it. Make small quantities at a time.

i hope they work out for you coz these tips are from shehnaz hussain

GOOD LUCK!!!!I am suffering from loss of hair .what should i do to recover from this problem?
There are some good vitamins for skin and hair. Also you may want to check out the shampoos you are using. They may be too chemically harsh on your scalp. A third idea is to go to the doctor, sometimes hormonal imbalance in men and women cause this. There are many hair care products to help restore lost hair, such as Rograine products among others.I am suffering from loss of hair .what should i do to recover from this problem?

  • Hair loss problem...?

i just ask a question the other day about this.

i think i might have thyroid problems because my hair is falling out really bad and i am only 18 years old. also i have dry skin and i feel tired all the time which lead me to believe that it is a thyroid problem but i went to the doctor and had a blood test and it was normal. i looked it up online and it says this has happened to other people before but i don't know what to do or if it really is what i think it is. also i had a baby about 4 months ago so that might be part of it but i was losing hair bad even before that but since then its got worse.Hair loss problem...?
I've had hair loss problems too and i am around your age. I've had that problem for a few years now, it very well could be a thyroid problem and it might be something minor like the shampoo or water you are using. Our water here is salty so when people from other countries visit, their hair falls out like crazy. For me, i know why it falls out and it's because it gets too long, when it gets to the certain length i start to shed like crazy! my mom does too so I guess that's normal.

Just get your thyroid checked again and again in a few months. Hopefully its minor.

Can creatine cause hair loss or erectile problems?

Hair problems such as greasy scalp, hair loss..etc.?

My mom has been going through this wierd thing but were trying to figure out what. My mom says her hair smells a lot, For example: She takes a shower, and her hair smells. She says she scrubs her scalp hard, but not so hard that it hurts her head. She also now has extremely greasy hair, and she hasn't had greasy hair before. To go along with that, she has greasy skin. Oh, and she also says she's been experiencing hair loss; like 100 or more hair strands per day! Compared to me...i lose like 30-45 per day. My mom has went to a doctor recently to ask what was going on and they asked her questions, and took some blood tests. We have yet to get the results of the blood tests. The doctors say it may be Thyroid. Please send us links to remedies or anything that would help. Thank a bunch guys.Hair problems such as greasy scalp, hair loss..etc.?
It could be from a high diet of fatty foods, especially meats and fish. If that's not the case it could also be from stress and scratching or rubbing the scalp too often. When washing hair, it should be done gently. Massaging the scalp frequently can stimulate the hair follicles to secrete natural oils. It could also just be a matter of changing shampoos.Hair problems such as greasy scalp, hair loss..etc.?
Overusing hair products can cause a greasy scalp. The more moisture you forcibly strip from your scalp, your body works twice as hard to produce oil for it. The problem is, ';greasy scalp'; and ';hair loss'; don't go well with each other. Greasy scalp requires a shampoo with seaweed, which is excellent at removing oil, whereas hair loss requires a moisturizing, oil-filled shampoo for less breakage.

Skin Problems with my kitten. Hair loss and skin peeling?

My kitten is a whole 11 weeks old and she is losing hair in chunks and her skin is peeling. It started under her legs. Like arm pit area-ish. I am starting to worry about her. What can I try and do to help the cat before I take her to the vet. I don't have money to take her right now. I took this cat only because it had no home. It was a stray. Any advice for me?Skin Problems with my kitten. Hair loss and skin peeling?

This appears to be ringworm. It is contageous to you and your other pets so be aware. He will need medicine but to ease the itch or dicomfort buy some athletes foot anti fungal cream! We had an outbreak before. It was a mess. Seperate him in a bathroom if you can.

My boxer has strange fur problems, she has dark spots and lines on her back and hair loss. What does this mean?

What is this?My boxer has strange fur problems, she has dark spots and lines on her back and hair loss. What does this mean?
Means that you need to bring her to the vet and have her checked out. If she's an older dog it could be just age. If she's young it could be medical. However, if she's really young it could just be her markings changing. A dogs markings will change several times throughout puppy hood. The hair loss could be due to the warmer weather however I'm not very familiar with the shedding of a boxer.
