Occasionally I lose a bunch of hair. This morning I took a shower and wound up with hair all over the place. This doesn't happen all the time but it will about once a week or so. I east very healthy but I do not eat any meat or poultry. I Strictly eat seafood and vegetables, whole grains, fruit etc., but no red meat or land animals. I do eat a lot of Tilapia fish that does have high mercury levels. Does this have anything to do with my hair?
My friend suggested to me to take prenatal vitamins. Does that actually improve the look of hair, skin, and nails? or will i get enough of those vitamins with a regular multi?
I also started to condition my hair with coconut oil instead of regular conditioner because it makes my hair fall out!! im sure many women know what im talking about.
I'm not extremely concerned that I'll go bald or anything lol but please give me some suggestions! What Can I do to prevent hair loss as a young woman? Is it my diet or conditioner?
hair loss can come from many sources, genetics, diet, stress, chemical, etc. Some of the things you can do to help prevent this is to use a gentle shampoo (avoid sodium laurel sulfate) take proper whole food vitamins ( chemically based vitamins do not work) try to watch your stress levels, do not color your hair with chemically based color, take MSM and these will help the non genetic component of hair loss. What Can I do to prevent hair loss as a young woman? Is it my diet or conditioner?
Vitamins B, C, F, zinc, iron, copper and protein are essential for hair growth. Drinking plenty of water and eating plenty of raw fruits and vegetables is probably the best way to achieving healthy hair. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairfall.blogspot.com/ for more info.

What can cause a young woman in her 20s to experience hair loss when she is not stressing?
Hair loss does not run in the family especially not from ages 21 to 28. Hair has been thinning out since the age of 21 and stress is not an issue. What can cause a young woman in her 20s to experience hair loss when she is not stressing?
nothing but two reasons
one is genetical. you cannot change
other is the environment . bad water,(salt water),over usage of chemicals, shampoo etcWhat can cause a young woman in her 20s to experience hair loss when she is not stressing?
maybe she doesnt eat healthy food which her hair %26amp;body need it .
It could be a vitamin issue, I would consult a nutritionist.
This has happened to me. She should get a blood test done to see if it may be her thyroid or even iron deficiency. Telogen Effluvian is the diagnostic name that encompases such hair loss.
I purchased some nice headbands that expand to cover the whole head so to disguise the patchy hair loss as it happened.
Malnutrition, chemicals or just thinning hair.
She should have her thyroid checked.
Anemia. You may want to consider going to the doctor soon to get bloodwork (including a ferritin test) done, especially considering that each hair you lose will take a long time to grow back. May sound like a simple solution, but it would be worth it to find out from a doctor how to take care of this problem and push it out of your life for good. Good luck.

Ask your dr to check you for PCOS Poly cystic ovarian syndrome. if you also have Irregular periods, thining of the hair, insulin resistence, diabetes, hypoglycemia, overweight, sometimes skin tags, etc. PCOScan also affect your fertility. www.resolve.org

Also there is another condition called ALLAPRECHAIRiota. I know i spelt it know. Its a loss of hair. I had that when i was 18 and I had to get steroid shots in my head. It was humilating and scarey. ut my hair grew back..
hugs go see your dr. tcHair loss in young woman?
get your thyroid checked immediately, simple blood test. I have hypothyroid, and thats how it started with me
Most hair loss in women is HEREDITY. Does your mother have a history with hair loss? You should see a hair stylist who specializes in those problems.
Sounds like a hormone or thyroid issue. Possibly stress, too. If you've been in a stressful situation (school, work, romance, whatever) it'll make you put on weight and thin your hair. Try joining a yoga class for awhile - the extra exercise might help your hormones balance out, and the stress-relieving factor might also do the trick. If you don't think it's any of these, check with your doctor.
Good luck!

Hair loss on young woman normal?
I lose a lot of hair everyday. I shed like crazy. I don't have any bald spots in my head and I'm young, so that's not the answer. Everytime I brush my hair a lot comes out. Is this normal? Do a lot of people have this? Thank you.Hair loss on young woman normal?
It's totally normal to lose up to 100 hairs a day. It all depends on how much hair you have to start with. I would start to get worried if you see bald spots or are pulling out huge chunks of hair at a time. Your hair grows in cycles and each strand is in a different part of the cycle at a given time, so it's only normal to see hair fall out to make room for new hair.
I noticed my hair started coming out (more than usual) a couple of years ago, and my doctor told me not to worry...many things can cause hair to come out, like stress and hormones. Hair loss on young woman normal?
Well, it really depends on your idea of ';a lot';. Everyone sheds! I can brush and brush and brush, and atleast six strings of hair will fall out (that are visible to me, atleast!). And that's completely normal.
Now, if you're brushing, and you can hold up a wad of your hair that fits in the palm of your hand, and wads that big keep falling out, then that's most likely a problem. If that's the case, see a doctor.
You're probably fine. Don't worry. :)
Provillus is the only product I've seen that offers a women-specific product (instead of just a unisex one).
It's basically a combination of a topical balm to stop hair loss and then a collection of tablets containing FDA-approved plant extracts to give your body the nutrients it needs to start growing hair again.
You can see Provillus in more detail here: http://www.regrowreport.com/provillus-re
It's the best on the market.
well thats happening to me and i am also young. my mom said it is just the change in weather

Does any one know what good hair loss solutions are out there for young women that work?
I don't know of anything specifically for young women but I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation to see if a hormone imbalance such as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome could be causing the problem with your hair.cosmetic products

Why have so many young women suffering from hair loss these days?
Really interesting to read everyone's answers!
I have two friends that suffer from it, neither are hairstyle junkies, the both put the hairloss down to stress. Why have so many young women suffering from hair loss these days?
unhealthy diet, over brushing, too many chemicals used on hair, underactive thyroid problems, alopesia (soz not sure on the spelling), perms, colours, etc etc
xWhy have so many young women suffering from hair loss these days?
stress, and they are trying all kinds of crazy stuff out there provided for them in the market! our looks matter thats what makes us go crazy and i think hair gots alot to do with alot of products that we are using, but as long as you eat healthy and drink water and be stress free then you will have healthy hair and not have hair loss, oh yeah also it can be passed on in the genes
Poor diets.
Stress!
I think stress, colours, straightening or curling them, etc.
hair extensions
due to all the products and hair extentions etc
Hormones.. The constant introduction of a new types of birth control, incourages young women to switch. Then the hormones have to adjust, often causing hair loss.
ever heard of the croyden face lift. well tis is when girls pull their hair back really tight to get what is known as the slick effect. it doesnt help if they put tonnes of gel, extentions, and stuff like that on their hair.
Too much hair abuse, products, chemicals, coloring, dying, relaxing, excessive washing, brushing, whatever.
Poor diet/stress and genetics lastly.
numerious factors. stress being one, health problems e.g. underactive thyroid gland. having children and bad diet. can all contribute to hair loss. oh and over processed hair from continued dying of the hair. hope this helps.
Yes i totally agree with you and i was having this problem too. Firstly these days we are so concious about having a great body that we starve ourselves and therefore we dont get the nutritions our hair requires. On top of that all the hair dying, extensions and perming we do plus most women work these days as well as manage the housework so all that mental stress. Obviously we'll go bald way before the men do.
If you mean why are so many women suffering from premature baldness I think it's down to all the crap they use on their hair, what with all the chemicals and fancy heat treatments it's no wonder the stuff gives up and falls out ! ! !
Because they put some much crap on it
by ';dieting'; instead of learning about proper nutrition and health. That, along with stress, changes in the environment, air quality, etc., and genetic engineering of food and addition of pesticides and hormones to things we eat and have no clue about. It's a wonder it's just hair that's lost and not lives...
alopecia can be caused by stress, i had it when i was 11 and life is sposed to be more stressful nowadays so...

Stress related hair loss in young women?
Okay, I'm only in my early 20's, and I have a very demanding job and my home life is absolutely crazy. Before I left my last job, I was so stressed and so upset that I started losing my hair in the front of my head - embarrassing, but I switched jobs and it started growing back.
Well now my life has changed at home, and work is getting on top of me. I'm losing my hair HARDCORE this time around. I know it's stress related, but my stress isn't going anywhere...
What can I do to try and grow my hair back?!Stress related hair loss in young women?
try hair oil; it really works! put it on at nite before bed and wake up and shampoo it off. usually coconut hair oil works the best but try others to suit ur hairStress related hair loss in young women?
Here a few simple home remedies which can be tried at home to control hair fall.
1.Rinse your hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea this helps hair grow..
2. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair.
3. Massage with olive oil before going to bed at night and next morning, wash off the hair gently..
4. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea.Massage well and shampoo.
5. Beat two eggs, and add two tablespoons of water to it. Rinse hair and pour the egg mixture over the hair.Massage the scalp well and leave for 10 minutes. Then wash it.
Stress can be a huge factor into hair loss. When your body is under stress then it takes more nutrients and when your body needs more nutrients it steals from your hair and nails which leads to hair loss and brittle nails.
My dermatologist recommended ELON Thinning Hair System for my hair loss. The thinning hair system includes: Elon Matrix 5,000 along with a Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner to help with the hair loss. The ELON Matrix 5,000 is a supplement with biotin, l-cysteine %26amp; silica. These are the 3 ingredients that help to build healthier, thicker, stronger hair and decrease the amount of hair you lose each day. The Shampoo and Conditioner are sulfate-free so they are gentle on the hair and also include a 4 protein complex to moisturize the hair.
Hope this helps. It worked wonders for me.
GOOD LUCK!!
Hi there i had same problem for years and a know its a nightmare,i tried everything and it cost a lot and results weent as good as i wanted until i tried this the results where the best ive found and great value also has a money back guarentee so on u go ,enjoy.

stress is a big factor when it comes to hair thinning women. http://www.hairlosswomentreatment.com
I'm sorry to hear about your hair loss.
My friend is going through the same thing at the moment. She has invested in a few wigs and you would never know that they were wigs.
She is currently undergoing treatment and blood tests to try to find out if there is any reason other than stress that she has this problem.
I suggest you go to the doctors and try to find out through them what treatments you can have.
She is trying gels and creams on her scalp now to see if that remedies the problem and keeps going back to the hospital to see if they are working and if not, trying something else.
I hope your stress levels come down a bit if you are suffering like this.
Try to find something a little less demanding as if this is what's showing on the outside, imagine what you might be doing to the rest of your body on the inside, especially your heart.
This is your body's way of telling you to slow down a bit and take time for yourself.
All the best x

Hair loss in young women?
I am 20 years old and i have always had some hair loss but in the past 6 months i have noticed a significant amount of hair loss. hand fulls of hair come out of my head when i wash and comb my hair. is this much hair loss normal?? i havent cut my hair lately it's down to the middle of my back, do i need to trim or cut it?Hair loss in young women?
anyway as we know hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few.
year ago I suffered very much from dandruff and hair loss too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss.
the things that really worked for me was:
1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;
2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;
3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;
4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);
5) also he used herbal treatment - TrichoZed or Provillus (do not use Rogaine - it will not work!)
Those are a good products that helps prevent hair loss and contains Biotin and the clinically tested ingredients approved by the FDA to help re-grow your hair.! I think it is very important!
It worked and still works for me!
I do not know if any pharmacies carry TrichoZed but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here
http://www.trichozed.info/ingredients.ph
(TrichoZed鈩?will produce noticeable hair growth in 30 to 45 days. A consistent use of TrichoZed鈩?ensures permanent results within 6 months. Further use shall maintain optimal health of your hair.)

It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) - a major cause of hair loss!

not only my own personal experience + working as a family physicianHair loss in young women?
Losing handfuls of hair at a time is not normal. If you pick up a section of hair and gently pull you should only come up with 1-3 hairs in your hand. If you consistently come up with more it is a problem. There are many possible causes. Any change or imbalance in the body can disrupt the hair growth cycle, causing more hairs than usual to retreat to the resting ';telogen'; stage where they will then fall out 1-3 months later. This type of hair loss is usually temporary and reversible once the cause is determined and corrected (or the body adjusts) but it can become severe, long-lasting and chronic. I also had a severe hair loss problem. I used essential oils to regrow my hair. They worked very well for me. You can learn more about using essential oils for hair loss or about the tyoes and causes of female hair loss at the sites listed below.

Medical reasons for hair loss in young women?
I am a 22 year old woman. When I am stressed I tend to loose more hair than normal. Over the last couple of months I have noticed that my hair loss is getting worse. My stress level has gone down. Genetically, hair loss is rare in my family so I am looking for any possible medical conditions that could be making this problem worse. I am not on any medication and as far as I know my hormone levels are normal. I have not noticed any other symptoms, but maybe I am missing something? Any ideas? Should I go to a doctor?Medical reasons for hair loss in young women?
try a multi vitamin with a b complex. also known as stress complex. it doesnt lower stress but can help alleviate physical manifestations of stress.Medical reasons for hair loss in young women?
f you see your hair thinning by the back and front of the scalp, it may suggest that you have Androgenetic Alopecia. Also, when the entire scalp seems to be thinning, well it is an obvious sign of the Androgenetic Alopecia.Though it has been discussed that female pattern starts at 50, it may also be that it starts on the late teen years to the early 20s of women. f you see your hair thinning by the back and front of the scalp, it may suggest that you have Androgenetic Alopecia. Also, when the entire scalp seems to be thinning, well it is an obvious sign of the Androgenetic Alopecia.Though it has been discussed that female pattern starts at 50, it may also be that it starts on the late teen years to the early 20s of women. That is why you have to see a specialist to diagnose the thinning.

Hmm. Good q! I can't give you an answer, but I did have a small bald patch or two when I was 20. Luckily, it was somewhere where it can be hidden, and it grew back.
I think my hair might be slightly receding, and I'm 30.
I loose a lot of hair.
