Haven't gotten my period in about 2-3 months. I'm a teen and have had my period for 5+ years now, so you'd think it'd be normal. I was in Central America for a month and my diet was quite (but not extremely) different - I still got protein from lots of chicken and such. Was in Central America for a month, unintentionally lost 10 pounds (now im about 5 foot 7 and 115ish pounds, give or take on both those measurements). After I got home, I only got 1 period that wasn;t legitimate. it was discharge that clearly had some blood in it, and that was it. lasted maybe an hour, not 5 or 7 days. also, my hair's thin naturally but has recently gotten thinner. oh, and also i've recently started regularly taking perscribed adderall. im petrified of getting poked by a gyno... any ideas? (p.s. i've never had sex, i'm not pregnant)Missed periods, thin hair, weight loss, diet change?
if your an athlete it could be your practicing to hard, or it might have something to do with the medicine your taking i would stop taking it if i were you and see if anything changes, but like i said earlier about the practicing to hard that could be why, it happens to me during soccer seasonMissed periods, thin hair, weight loss, diet change?
You're underweight. Try and gain back those ten pounds and you'll probably start getting your period again, not to mention your adderall is suppressing your appetite so I wouldn't doubt that you're forgetting to eat sometimes.
it could be stress, not eating properly, all the changes your doing can cause that, you just need to relax..
Not all cycles last 5-7 days. If you go to the restroom and you only have a spot of blood, guess what that was your cycle for that month. I'm a teen also and I've been having a period for 5+ years also and i missed like 5 months at a one time once. I got scared, decided to go to the doctor and get birth control and he gave some medication that made my cycle come down. [ps. im not having sex either, i just thought it would be good to get on birth control to get my body ready for when i decided to start having sex.] i hope this helped.
You need to address this with a doctor. Being that you have been out of the country it might be something that needs medical treatment. If not addressed it could get worse. Plus there is not a need to suffer with all of todays modern advances to help!
I have a thyroid problem (not that you do) and I have some of the same things but you should still get checked. There is lots of things it could be and with that being said there are many things that it can't be so if you just trust your doctor it will be best.
Taking Addrell XR can sometimes set off the cycles and in my step son it made him hear voices. What a mess, but that is a whole other email! Make sure you take this as directed only!
Anyway, going to the gyno isn't fun! I will admit it but at the same time the entire procedure of a pap smear takes just under 5 min and a good doctor will talk and walk you thru it! Also he or she will tell you before anything happens and its not painful.
My doctor is a woman and that makes me feel better. She has also had children and with me having a high risk pregnancy then an emergency c-section followed by a full hysterectomy I felt more comfortable with a lady.
Try to find a doctor you are comfortable with and get to a doctor to make sure you won't mess around and cost yourself needs worry and needless prevention of future children!
If you wait to have sex until your married its totally worth it! :)
