why?35 male thinning at the top. will short hair or long hair slow-down my hair loss?
Don't think it's going to make a difference.
This NATURAL, safe remedy is the ONLY ONE I've found that truly stops loss almost straight away and also forces new growth. Massage thoroughly with olive or any natural oil - then brush vigorously using a palm held brush with short natural boar bristles - soft bristled for fine straight hair and stiff bristled for thicker non straight hair- so you really feel it stimulating scalp - 90 /100 strokes at beginning building up to more - each day, focusing on where loss is. Will heal scalp and unplug blocked hair ducts that sometimes cause loss - they are the painful small itching spots. A little shedding and breakage may occur at first but quickly stops as brushing makes hair stronger and better anchored. It will grow fast, thicker and It will force the new growth. Initially new hairs will be weak looking and sparse. Don't be concerned if brushing uproots them as they will re-appear even stronger. My hair has completely regrown on crown. Where receded at front regrowth was slower and sparse at first then each month it became denser. It demands perseverance week in, week out to get the same results.
Thinning and loss can be caused by many shampoos - particularly anti dandruff ones - and hair products that contain countless hair, scalp and even health harming harsh and toxic ingredients Washing hair too frequently is another cause - removes beneficial natural oils and contributes to loss. Find ';Non harmful shampoos, etc'; with Google searches. Some will come up and be expensive or only available on-line so refine search by adding ';low cost'; and ';available in stores'; Find in GNC ,Trader Joes, Some Walmart Stores, Cost Plus, Wegmans, Earth Fare, natural %26amp; health foods stores. I Have had feed back from someone who has had even more success using treatment. His has substantially regrown in just 6 months.
Wish you the best.

No, it won't matter what length you wear your hair - the loss is genetic.
I've had several thinning/balding husbands and here's what I know:
One husband would go along for 18-24 months with normal hair loss, then all of a sudden he'd have massive hair loss over a period of weeks, then back to normal. He wore his hair shortish on the bottom and a bit longer on the top, and wore caps when outdoors because the wind bothered him.
One husband has long hair (pony tail) and he just goes along the same all the time - just slow consistent hair loss.
The other husband died 11 months after I met him so I didn't see a pattern with him.
A friend was in a serious car accident and had spinal surgery; due to stress he lost a lot of hair really fast.
Women don't mind thin hair or a bald head but we do mind comb overs! Wear your hair how it looks best on you. Often the lack of hair just allows beautiful eyes or smiles to really show. I've had chemo and something like that makes you realize hair really isn't important in the big picture.
neither. If you are thinning, the only thing I know of is a hair loss product. Rogaine was fairly inexpensive the last time I saw it (compared to what it was).
It has been touted that hair loss is due to an excess of testosterone. Maybe you should shave it (women love the bald look).
It's inevitable, but I'd think longer hair would create more tension/resistance. I hit mine with clippers and run it at 3/8'; to 1/2'; and it seemed to slow down. It's either the shortening, or maybe I'm not as stressed out as I used to be.
