Depending on where you live, you may be able to visit a trichologist. Trichologists specialize in the scientific study of scalp and hair disorders. They look at your scalp under a microscope to determine what type of hair loss you are experiencing. They can try to pinpoint to cause and offer a solution.

If you're noticing excessive amounts of hair falling out from all over the scalp you may be experiencing telogen effluvium. This type of hair loss has many possible causes. It is usually a reaction to a change or imbalance in the body.

Try to think back to a few months before the excessive hair loss began to see if their was any change, illness, stressful event, etc.

Telogen effluvium is usually temporary once the cause is identified and addressed. Essential oil formulas can be very helpful in this type of hair loss.

Alopecia (one ';l';) is a word to look for in Yahoo or Google, make sure you type in your city as well, and you'll see who is a local Dr. that can treat you. You may also try ';DHT'; (a form of testosterone that is the cause for 95 percent of hair loss - men AND women) - another ';hair loss'; keyword.

Finding a doctor is one thing, but finding one in YOUR area is another.

copy and past in your browser:

alopecia, DHT, hair loss doctor, YOURCITY
