i know someone who im very close with that her hair is apparently beggining to thin and some of it comes out when you comb it and she got tested for a thyroid and its negative so were really afraid it might be cancer and im really scaredHow many different reasons are there for hair loss or thinning hair?
Cancer doesn't cause hair to fall out. treatments for cancer like, chemotherapy, or radiation cause hair to fall out. Chemotherapy drugs are powerful medications that attack rapidly growing cancer cells. A reason that her hair falls out might be
Seasonality which makes you lose the most hair in the fall -- typically November and December when hair reaches maturity in its growth cycle.
Androgenic Alopecia, which is the prodominant cause of hair loss in both men and women. it occurs as the result of a build-up of the hormone DHT in the bloodstream. DHT binds itselt to your hair follicles and- long story short, it strangles them to death.
Vitamin %26amp; Mineral Deficiencies
People with poor dietary habits are far more likely to experience thinning hair in their lifetime. Vitamins and minerals keep us functioning. They are the catalyst for all of our life's functions. Specifically, vitamins A, B, C, and E... along with magnesium, iron, zinc, and copper all work together to keep our integumentary system (skin, hair, and nails) tip-top and growing properly.
Poor pH Balance
This is one of the most overlooked principles in the entire world of health. Our bodies are only as healthy as the state of our blood. When we become acidic (as opposed to alkaline), all sorts of health challenges arise. Among these, dermatological conditions such as severe acne, cysts, psoriasis, and hair loss are not only possible, they're to be expected.
I hope this helps and you guys figure out whats wrong. How many different reasons are there for hair loss or thinning hair?
I know I'm a male, but i'm here to tell you about the method that I use, which is EXTREMELY valid for WOMEN, too.
I'll keep this short, since I know this might sound like one of those advertisements for scam sites, but I found a solution to my hair loss and I'm here to share it with everybody and post a link.
I started losing my hair when I was 20 (I'm now 24) and I tried Propecia and Rogaine, with little results.
I quit using them because I felt they were harming my health, so I tried to see what the 'alternative' cures had to offer.
Everything seemed like a scam: creams, oils, nothing really hit the nail for me.
One day I found out the ONLY site that explained correctly the theory behind hair loss: it is caused by micro-contractures on the scalp that reduce bloodflow and prevent hair from growing naturally and healthy.
I managed to stop my hair loss with the techniques they teach, and I am now regrowing my hair. :)
I also know of many other people who stopped their hair loss with the same exercises, including various women!
The founder of the Endhairloss network is a really nice guy who is eager to answer personally to emails, he's been researching hair loss for almost twenty years and has halted his own hair loss 17 years ago, with the same techniques he is now teaching through his ebook.
He has a thick head of hair, too.
This technique works for men and women, and since it's approach is towards scalp tension and micro-contractures, it has a completely different take on hair loss.
This method works!
All the best,
Matt

2. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair.
3. Massage with olive oil before going to bed at night and next morning, wash off the hair gently..
4. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea.Massage well and shampoo.
5. Beat two eggs, and add two tablespoons of water to it. Rinse hair and pour the egg mixture over the hair.Massage the scalp well and leave for 10 minutes. Then wash it.
There are many reasons for hair loss, read the link to the hair loss article noted below. It has most of the answers you may need.
It could be their diet. If you are not eating all the nutrients your body needs or amount of calories your body needs, your hair will thin and fall out. Go to www.mypyramid.gov and figure how if they are eating correctly.
Relax, it sounds like you are deficient in Vitamin D and Iron. A deficiency in both of these nutrients could cause hair loss. You should get a blood test to make sure that everything is alright.
It could be due to her diet, stress, genetics, or age. As people age, hair tends to thin. I don't know how old this person is so its hard to say. It could be due to hormone imbalances too.
Stress makes your hair fall out big time.
Could be a hormone imbalance.
