Does having long hair contribute to hair loss/thinning?

I'm a 20 male with long hair. My hair is rather thick (due to indian blood) and I'm wondering if me having my hair long can contribute to hair loss and/or thinningDoes having long hair contribute to hair loss/thinning?
no not at all. but if you are over stying your long locks, you may be breaking it. and we tend to notice longer hair strands as they shed more so than short ones. what can contribute to thinning of hair is change in diet, medicatons, stress, heredity, etc. If the thinning is in spots, see your doctor as that could be a sign of a medical condition.Does having long hair contribute to hair loss/thinning?
Here a few simple home remedies which can be tried at home to control hair fall.

1.Rinse your hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea this helps hair grow..

2. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair.

3. Massage with olive oil before going to bed at night and next morning, wash off the hair gently..

4. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea.Massage well and shampoo.

5. Beat two eggs, and add two tablespoons of water to it. Rinse hair and pour the egg mixture over the hair.Massage the scalp well and leave for 10 minutes. Then wash it.
Nope it shouldn't. As long as you do not tie it in tight ponytails %26amp; cause stress on the scalp by over pulling the hairs you should not thin. I've seen so many parents pulling their childrens' hair back in such tight ponytails their hairlines become so damaged %26amp; thinned from it.

Oh...and also don't wear ball caps as that causes stress on the scalp as well. But other than that, keep your long hair free %26amp; flowing (or loosely braided) and it should be fine!
If that were true then the majority of girls wouldn't have long hair.
Nope. It won't contribute to extensive hair loss.
