Oh I am so sorry! Typically chemicals make the hair fall out immediately, so I doubt it was perm or dye. One side thinning makes me believe it is the side you sleep on, in which case it is normal and a satin pillowcase should remedy that. Dry scalp can let hair fall out easier, but it has to be exasperated by something like a tight ponytail or the like. My advise for growing it back:
1. Throw away anything you put on your head with sulfates in it. They clog hair follicles and prevent it from growing. It will be difficult, but find a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. (I use Nature's Gate Organics.)
2. Give yourself weekly oil treatments using a vegetable oil like Olive oil. Use before you shampoo. Rub into your scalp.
3. Rosemary helps stimulate hair growth. Make a paste with your cooking spice and dab it onto your bald spot, leave it for 10 minutes before you shower. Or find some rosemary oil (from health food stores) and dab a TINY amount on your spot and let it stay for a while (beware if you have sensitive skin it might burn you).
4. If you don't mind being a redhead, check into henna for hair. It thickens it almost double. If you don't want to be a redhead, try the herb senna. Its like henna, only clear, and doesn't last as long. Both are available at any herb shop.
5. Satin or high-weave cotton pillowcases. At night your hair can weave through loose fibers and snap off, and a satin or high-weave case prevents this.
6. Ditch the ponytail in lieu of braids. Ponytails are EVIL for your hair, even loose ones, if set high, will snap hair from the temple region.
Best of luck. I am with you, sister.Hair Loss and or thinning in one spot, on side of hair line Any Home remidies?
First of all you need to go to a doctor such as an endocrinologist or hormone specialist who can give u some blood work to determine the cause of your hair loss. Stop using all chemicals, perms dyes etc on your hair and switch to all natural shampoos and hair products from a health food store, you will need to massage ur scalp with a hair oil such as coconut or even olive oil before bed.special oils for thinning hair can also be purchased.
1.) Seaweeds, help stimulate the thyroid and give minerals for the proper health of the hair
2.) Spinach is great for the hair, contains lots of minerals,as are all the green vegetables.
3.) Protein your hair is made of protein so make sure you are getting it in either animal or vegetable form such as fish,chicken,beef,legumes,nuts... and cheese.Or protein drinks.
4.) take a good b-vitamin supplement with biotin which increases hair growth.
5.)MSM contains naturally occuring sulfer and will make your hair and nails grow faster.
6.) silica
this combined with a good scalp massage with herbal hair oil will do wonders for your hair. Avoid brushing ur hair when its wet,and use a natural shampoo such as lamas chinese stimulating shampoo or Jason thin to thick.

Nothing ';cheap'; nor any ';home remidies'; r going 2 help u. U need to go 2 a salon %26amp; get Nioxin. It works by cleaning out/restoring clogged hair follicles %26amp; stimulates the scalp 4 growth.
I'm not sure what to do for the hair loss....I would try horse shampoo to make your hair stronger. And to get rid of your dry scalp I put white vinegar in my hair and wrap it in a towel overnight and then wash it with a heavy conditioner. Good luck!
