Should I bleach my hair, considering I have just had a bout of hair thinning/loss?

I bleach/foil my hair every three months. It is time to get my roots done. But, I have recently went through a very stressful ordeal and my hair is thinning. My hair is in really good condition, no breakage. I just don't know if because of the thinning....should I not get it bleached?Should I bleach my hair, considering I have just had a bout of hair thinning/loss?
no! do not do that!!! you can get big hair loss again and again ! you must relax your hair and roots for some time!!! lethem rest and heal!!

year ago I suffered very much from dandruff and hair loss too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss.

the things that really worked for me was:

1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

5) also I used herbal treatment - Provillus (do not use Rogaine - it will not work!)

It is a good products that helps prevent hair loss and contains Biotin and the clinically tested ingredients approved by the FDA to help re-grow your hair.! I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for me!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry Provillus but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.provillus.com/?aid=221781

It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) - a major cause of hair loss!

Also Informative video about Provillus - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ydvCHhbR…

good luck!

not only my own personal experience + working as a family physician

I personally don't think you should bleach your hair considering your hair thinning/loss. Bleach is a harsh chemical, you shouldn't stress your hair with it especially if its thin, focus on regaining its strength and thickening. I think you definitely should give your hair a break from the bleaching concentrate on making it healthy.

There is a great products called NU GRO and APHOGEE, they are formulated for thinning and hair loss try it, I hope this helps!
Absolutly not!

Bleaching tears the hair follicle down to it's smallest point and actually strips the hair of layers and nutrients vital for healthy hair. It will thin the hair - and if you've had a fight with thinning hair - bleaching it will thin it even more (possible hair breakage) and it will make your hair look even thinner showing your scalp.
No. Over treated hair is the leading cause of hair loss. You should taake a break from hair dyes,bleach, perms, relaxers, and the likes. According to the FDA, over the counter dyes and chemical treatments tend to be the highest of all complaints.
If you hair is thinning bleaching can actually make it look thinner then it is. You might want to get it grow out a bit more before deciding where it has come back thick enough to bleach or not.
no I wouldn't it will just make it worse. I would change the whole hair ordeal. Start using a semi permanent hair dye. Something gentle.
bleaching ruins and thins hair so dont
