'cause i notice my hair is becoming slightly thinner,, i think its from my frequent use hair wax, or from frequent shampooing,, pls help me,,What natural regimen can i follow to combat or at least diminish hair loss/ falling hair??
Principal causes of problems are harmful shampoos and equally harmful medicated shampoos and medications which we then use to correct problem! We are seeing a hair loss epidemic in both males and females and its occuring at ever younger ages - as young as 14 and 15. We compound the problem by over washing hair . Do a Google search ';daily hair washing harmful?'; See many sites listing harm. Also compounding problem is use of countless other hazardous chemical filled products.

A NATURAL, safe, permanent, low cost cure for this and most hair problems. Best to use tea tree oil shampoo - or a mild selenium based one with few drops of tea tree oil added . Scalp needs stimulation to clear blocked hair ducts, remove dead follicles so it can start producing strong, well anchored thicker hair. Massage with natural oils, olive oil is excellent and brush vigorously so you feel it stimulating scalp (25 or 35 strokes) A little shedding and some breakage occurs but only to begin with quickly stops as hair gets anchored and stronger. It will force new growth overtime (expect to see in about 2 months) Do at night and sleep with it that way. Keep up treatment and DON麓T BE AFRAID OF LOSING NEW GROWING HAIRS - THEY Will RE-APPEAR EVEN STRONGER. My hair completely recovered - absolutely no more loss and definite new growth. Maintain a regular brushing and oiling routine and wash infrequently - find alternatives to washing with a web search. TRY to eat healthily, with large proportion of raw foods and oils (Olive and similar), drink fresh fruit juices, avoid denatured, heavily processed and chemically treated foods, all sodas. Nuts are very good for you. Restaurant food is not good for health (read up on what they do to food). Avoid harmful, chemically doctored food as much as possible. Also do web search ';Shampoos harmful?'; many contain sodium laurel sulphate, sodium laureth sulphate and propylene glycol, all of which are harmful. First two are dangerous and both damage hair follicles and cause hair loss. They also harm eyes. The eye stinging you get is telling you that. Fetuses subjected to these substances do not develop functioning eyes, and both can cause cataracts in adults. Propylene glycol - antifreeze - is a known skin irritant and is thought to cause mouth ulcers. It also damages the kidneys and liver. Do a web search for safe products for hair and skin.

wash your hair with mane and tail shampoo and conditioner. go to ur pharmacy and ask them to order u a bottle of AG PRO. its great for helping regrow hair.
i had the same problem and i tried few things that virtually stopped hair fall.I took zinc regularly(in the form of surbex -Z)and started regularly every time before shampooing. The oils that i used was a mixture of Olive oil, Almond oil, caster oil and egg oil. shampooing frequency is same but i changed my shampoo.I am using dove shampoo now.take iron as well.hair wax is usually harmful.

Massage of scalp with oil, every time you apply oil.is help full .and u can apply hot wet towel to your hair for 30 minutes once a week.if there is any stress factor ,get rid of it.Good luck
Drink 10-12 glasses of water daily and have a high protein diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables and dairy products. Since iron-deficiency anemia can also cause hair loss, make sure that you eat a well-balanced diet that includes a daily serving or two of iron-rich foods. Check out

Are there any Products out there to combat hair loss?

A friend of mine is only 23 and his hair is literally, falling out slowly. When he wakes up in the morning, its all over her pillow - that sort of falling out. Its really sad as he's perfectly healthy - its just his family genes. Is there anything to help him? Organic/natural products; lab products; cosmetic products - anything would be helpful.

Thanks. Are there any Products out there to combat hair loss?
it sounds like alopecia , he will need to go speak to his doctor .Are there any Products out there to combat hair loss?
Nioxin hair products also help hair loss.
Sometimes it's simply genetics. Tell him to shave it off. Lots of girls think that's a very hot look.
Rogain

Do a Google and an Answers search and you will see there has not been one successful product for hair loss. Some, like Rogaine for women, can have very serious side effects. This safe natural treatment using essential oils has had remarkable results for me and others. It stops loss very quickly and it can force new growth. I Can send you testimonials. I am not a believer in it being determined by genes. My father and two younger brothers suffered early age severe loss. This treatment saved me from same fate.

Massage thoroughly with oil - then brush vigorously using a palm held brush with short natural boar bristles - soft bristled for fine straight hair and stiff bristled for thicker non straight hair (you can find and see on Ebay). Do it so you really feel it stimulating scalp - 90 /100 strokes at beginning building up to more - each day. Will heal scalp and unplug blocked hair ducts that sometimes cause loss - sometimes it causes painful, small, itching spots. A little shedding and breakage may occur at first but quickly stops as brushing makes hair stronger and better anchored. Hair will grow fast, thicker and It will force new growth. Initially new hairs will be weak looking and sparse. Don't be concerned if brushing uproots them as they will re-appear even stronger. My hair has completely regrown on crown. Where receded at front regrowth was slower and sparse at first then each month it became denser. It demands perseverance week in, week out to get the same results.

Loss can be caused by many shampoos - particularly anti dandruff ones - and hair products that contain countless hair, scalp and even health harming harsh and toxic ingredients. Confirm with A Google. Find ';Non harmful shampoos, etc'; with Google searches. Seek those available in stores. Available in GNC, Trader Joes, some Walmart Stores, Cost Plus, Wegmans, Earth Fare, natural %26amp; health foods stores.

I Have had feed back from others. One had substantial regrowth and thickening in just 6 months.

Wish you the best.

I know Lush does a shampoo called New! thats supposed to very good, i love Lush products they're all natural and vegan so she wouldn't be putting nasty chemicals on her head (which is probably not the wisest thing to do if she is already having problems) everyhing else i have tried from Lush has worked brilliantly so i dont see why this should be a any different, its quite cheap and so definutly worth a try.

Also you should probably get her to check with a doctor its not a symptom of something or stress-related, just incase.

good luck to her :)
She needs to go to a dr to make sure there are no underlying causes that can be treated.

Short of that there are 2 FDA approved treatments, only one of which she can use.

Rogaine for woman, it is otc.

Don't waste money on any other treatments. You may find this hard to believe but people will lie to you in order to sell you overpriced items and take your money.

Pattern baldness happens at the same rate in men as in women, the problem is that women lose the hair at the top of their heads and retain a line of hair at their hairline, this makes it easier for them to hide the hairloss (they can just comb hair back over the thin spot, this looks better than the dreaded comb over). So if this is the case she is not alone, her baldness of course may be a worse case senario.
i been using minoxidil for the past 4 months and only starting to see a little hair growing but they are falling too.

im trying nioxin starter kit right now cos they said that it makes hair stronger and wont fall...try to search it and maybe it will help.

Combating hair loss from within and from without- what do you think.?

Hello, all welcome.

I have losed hair naturally but it becomes anying.I know that my hair is always regrowing so that I know that I am noting going bald. I think that there are two options:

Combating Hair Loss from Within- includes use of nutrituional and health products addressing my diet and changes I need to make, since I may not look after my hair in the right way. Using this way I would see to hair thickness, hair loss, irritating scalp and hair health. This is simple, cheaper and fits into the whole picture.

Combating Hair Loss from Without- includes us of products that will be used externally to combat excessive hairloss. This way I will see to hair loss, scalp health and hair thickness. This will consume much time, great costs and confusing.

I would seek to strengthen and thicken my hair by 'feeding' it what it needs and take modest care of it, adding more vitality and health to each strand of hair.

What do you think? I would cherish personal experiences. Thank youCombating hair loss from within and from without- what do you think.?
I started ordering the generic version of Propecia online at 40 and i am currently 43 and have the best head of hair that i have had in 10 years. I never told anyone i was using it and everyone noticed. Im sure it doesnt work this well for everyone but it did for me. I experienced no side effects. The negative is, that it only works while you take it. Thats why i found a cheap source online http://www.4-rx.net And i dont have to run to the doctor for a prescription when i order.

Just click on the generic name finasteride.

They are also doing studies on dutasteride, but i have no personal experience with that. Its on the site also. Initial studies are showing it up to 30% more effective than propecia. The brand name for dutaseride is Avodart.Combating hair loss from within and from without- what do you think.?

  • How to combat greasy hair, itch, dandruff, and hair loss?

I'm 16 years old and I've been having mild to severe hair loss in that I always see my hair falling out, I can see my scalp easily through my hair, and i get about 20 hairs on my hands from just shampooing. For the past 2 years I've had greasy hair and dandruff that's progressively getting worse (along with the hair loss). About 15-20 hours after shampooing, my hair gets very greasy and it looks almost as though I have wax or gel in my hair (people have told me) and so I must shampoo everyday to keep my hair looking mildly normal. Also I've had pretty bad dandruff that I can see along with the hair fall. Also my scalp gets VERY itchy randomly (even after I shower) and especially itchy if i havent showered for 15+ hours. I'm using prescription dandruff shampoo and the dandruff is getting a little better but the hair loss, itchiness, and greasiness seem to be getting worse by the day. What can I do about this? What's going on?How to combat greasy hair, itch, dandruff, and hair loss?
Colon cleaning is the new technique to reduce weight. Boffins have highlighted the fact that not all additional weight is thanks to surplus fat, a load of weight simply lies there in your colon, and all you need to do is clean it out. http://rikump.fatfreestore.info has a risk free trial on currently, give it a try out, you can reduce as much as 20 pounds!

Thinning hair, balding or a receding hairline is genetic. It is carried on your mother's side. There is really not a whole lot that can be done as far as food or hair products. You can try Minoxodil to slow or regrow the hair, but that always doesn';t work. The best solution is get your hair cut to minimize the thinning, or just start shaving your head

Hair Loss Caused By Stress, What can i do to combat it?

My mother has had a great deal of anxiety for the past months to the point where she is suffering from hair loss. Is there anything i can do to help her grow hair back or stop it from progressing?Hair Loss Caused By Stress, What can i do to combat it?
I'm an 18 year old female that has been suffering from hair loss since the age of 15. i first seen a dermatologist when i noticed the unusually big gobs of hair falling out, she said that it looked fine and sent me out of there, did not do tests or anything. The doctors and such all treated me the same for the next 3 years, but eventually it loosened up, it gets bad occasionally.

your mother may be going through menopause depending on her age. low iron levels are a major cause of hair loss in women who are pre-menopausal. she should see a doctor and get all possible blood tests done that would cause hair loss, like under active or over active thyroid, low iron levels, etc.

women also lose iron throughout the menstrual cycle as iron travels throughout the blood.

if she has been through a traumatic stress period the hair loss could very well be caused from that. it can occur up to 3 months after the event. surgery could have caused it.

i would just do research and make sure she gets to a doctor.

to promote healthy hair growth she should be taking all B vitamins, biotin, omega 3 fatty acids ( which stimulates blood circulation and supports other health benefits)

Shampoos that advertise to promote good hair growth are a myth, vitamins in shampoos will do nothing since the hair cannot absorb nutrients because it is dead, the only way to promote good hair growth is the right diet and nutrients (as said above).Hair Loss Caused By Stress, What can i do to combat it?
    AVOID STRESS! duh!

Find the source(s) of her anxiety and help her in THOSE areas... healthy hair will follow. And a good nutritious diet will help too.

How long ago did you switch. I was losing a lot of hair from Seroquel. It was lowered significantly but my doctor said that even if it was discontinued, it would take months until the hair loss came to a halt. Maybe the same is true with Topamax.

BTW, I was on Topamax a few years ago but didn't notice a problem with hair loss. Meds affect people differently.

Don't buy shampoo that has a conditioner mixed in it.This will only make your hair have more oil. When you wash your hair, wash it three times per wash. Also stress can make ones hair have more oil.If you find that it needs washing at some point during your day, but you don't have time at that point to wash it.You can apply a small amount of baby powder to your hair, while rubbing it evenly all over your hair, and you will get instant dry hair.(Just my opinion) Good Luck, RomanWhat is the best ways to combat oily scalp and hair loss ?

I have a new idea to combat my hair loss. Is this OK or am I crazy?

I have been losing hair for a while now and finally just took the razor to it. I am completely, shiny bald.

Now, I look OK like this and have a girlfriend and all, but I am kind of a creative type and think it's boring. What if I put some light adhesive on my scalp and start covering it with things like dandelions, blades of grass, pieces of construction paper, etc? This way, my head is art.

I'm sure there will be haters on this idea, but fire away!I have a new idea to combat my hair loss. Is this OK or am I crazy?
    ....Im not a hater.

but idk. either you are kidding or serious and if you are serious well.....good luck with that. If you are happy then hey go for it....but coming from a girls view i would never go for a guy who thinks his head is art. If you believe you are such a piece of work go to a museum and see what they think off that brilliant idea bc as far as i am concerned they will think you are crazy and off the deep end.

Good luck with that tho :)I have a new idea to combat my hair loss. Is this OK or am I crazy?

How to combat excessive hair loss?

I'm just hitting sixteen, but I lose like around 35 strands of hair (at least) everyday! This isn't normal! HELP!

How can I stop myself from losing all that hair? I have naturally wavy hair that's pretty thin to begin with, and it's barely shoulder length right now.

if you're wondering, i eat healthily but are there any foods that i should consume more of?How to combat excessive hair loss?
I understand your pain, I actually started losing my hair around 17 years old and was very frustrated. I completed a massive amount of research and consulted several dermatologists to see if there was a reason for the hair loss at an early age. Hair loss is not caused by your genes, it is actually caused when Dihydrtestoterone (DHT) enters the body, it cuts off the blood flow and the hair follicles begin to thin. I did not realize that hair loss is a direct cause of hormone testosterone. I can say that vitamins do work, preferably the whole food kind that is not synthetic. You cannot find these at Wal-Mart. You need to go to a whole food or natural health store/physician. Note that natural vitamins are made from foods which are the everyday nutrients that you may be missing in your diet . Natural vitamins can be taken without eating something because they are natural, like food. Synthetic vitamins have to be taken with food because they are not real and it is hard for them to breakdown in your body to give you what you need. This is a start because it slowed my hair loss down. How to combat excessive hair loss?
Here are some types of food that should help decreasing your hair loss.

Eating chickpeas and/or Roast Beef can help you get both zinc and the vitamin B-6 you need for healthy hair. Zinc has an important part in building hair protein.

Soy and Almonds contain a substantial amount of Iron and Vitamin E. Iron is an important part of hemoglobin production. Hemoglobin is responsible for getting oxygen to the tissues of the body. Without it your hair won't grow.

Vitamin E also helps with the absorption of oxygen and increasing blood circulation to the scalp.

Whole wheat is a good source of Silica and Iron. Silica is very important because it helps with the absorption of many other vitamins and minerals. It's usually not found in western diets and in many cases it is one of the main causes of hair loss.

Oranges (or orange juice) are a good source of Vitamin C.

Vitamin C is a big part of the development of collagen which is necessary for hair growth.

Fish is a good source of Vitamin A, Vitamin B-6, Protein and essential fatty acids which play a major role in maintaining healthy nails, hair and skin.
    The Truth About Hair Loss

It is normal to shed hair every day and the truth is we loose between 100-125 hairs on any given day. Hair that is shed falls out at the end of growth cycle. At any given time 10% of our hair is in what is called a “resting phase” and after 2-3 months resting, hair falls out and new hair grows in its place. Some people, however, experience more hair loss than is normal.

As we get older, both men and women experience some hair loss. It’s a normal part of the aging process. Called Androgenetic Alopecia, it accounts for 95% of all hair loss. Androgentic Alopecia often runs in families and affects some people more than others. In men it is often referred to as Male Pattern Baldness.

It is characterized by a receding hair line and baldness on the top of head. Women, on the other hand, don’t go entirely bald even if their hair loss is severe. Instead, hair loss is spread out evenly over their entire scalp.

Hormones play the dominant role when talking about Androgenetic Alopecia. Simple put, both men and women produce testosterone. Testosterone can be converted to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) with the aid of the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase. DHT shrinks hair follicles causing the membranes in the scalp to thicken, become inelastic and restrict blood flow. This causes the hair follicles to atrophy. As a result, when a hair does fall out, it is not replaced.

Needless to say, men produce more testosterone than women and experience more hair loss.

While Androgenetic Alopecia is the number one reason why individuals experience hair loss, it is not the only one. Medical conditions such as hypothyroidism, ringworm and fungal infections can cause hair loss. Certain medications such as blood thinners, gout medication, birth control pills and too much vitamin A can cause sudden or abnormal hair loss as can following a crash diet, sudden hormonal changes, chemotherapy and radiation.

Emotional stress, pregnancy, or surgery can also cause our hair to fall out and is usually not noticed until 3-4 months after the stressful event has taken place. Stress can cause a slowing of new hair growth because a larger number of hair follicles enter into the resting phase and no new hair growth is experienced.

Another way in which individuals experience hair loss is due to mechanical stressors on the hair and scalp. Wearing pigtails, cornrows or tight rollers that end up pulling on the hair can scar the scalp and cause permanent hair loss. Hair products such as hot oil treatments and chemicals used for permanents can cause inflammation to the hair follicles which can also result in scarring and hair loss.

I Hope this informs you enough about hair loss...The product in the link below will defanitley help your hair loss

It worked for me and I was amazed!

    Good Luck!
James L is right. The hair fall you are experiencing IS totally normal. We all lose up to 100 strands of hair per day. They mostly will show up when you shower. But if you are still worried about it, just continue to eat healthy. And check out some preventative measures listed in these articles:
My dad had been suffering from hair loss and only recently he started to see a huge difference with his hair (lots of fine hair growing out especially at the temple area) after trying out the various natural techniques taught to grow hair for 1 week at this website http://www.regrowmyhair.info

I must say its a very informative, effective and easy to follow step-by-step guide. I highly recommend it to anyone who is suffering from hair loss.

  • Guys what are things you do to combat hair loss?

Especially younger men dealing with this terrible occurrence.

Front, back it all sucks.Guys what are things you do to combat hair loss?
For treating hair loss basically there are four methods.

    1) In these some methods are applicable for blocking hair loss from follicles and some others are meant for the re-growth of the hair.

    2) Use medicines including antiandrogens blocks the production of DHT.

    3) use anti-inflammatories prevent inflammation and itching on the scalp and prevent the loss. DHT inhibitors are meant for stopping the shedding of hair and also it encourages the regrowth of the hair by blocking DHT production.

    4) use growth stimulant products stimulate the growth of the hair.Guys what are things you do to combat hair loss?
    Eat a good diet.

It is important to eat a well balanced diet. Fruit and vegetables will provide essential vitamins that help maintain a healthy hair growth cycle. Meat will provide protein and iron which are important for keeping hair healthy and strong. If you are vegetarian, be sure to source substitutes such as spinach, chickpeas, lentils, figs and whole grains. Eggs are another important food for hair; they are a rich source of protein and without protein hair will become brittle and weak and more prone to breakage. Avoiding eating too much sugar will help nutrients do their job and prevent raising adrenalin levels in the body, which leads to more Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) - the main hormone responsible for hair loss. Raised adrenalin levels also lead to stress.
anyway as we know - hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few.

year ago my husband suffered very much from dandruff and hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. the things that really worked for him was:

    1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

    2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

    3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

    4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice (you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

    5) also he used herbal treatment - TrichoZed (do not use Rogaine - it will not work!)

It is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and contains Biotin and the clinically tested ingredients approved by the FDA to help re-grow your hair.! I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for him!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry TrichoZed but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.trichozed.info/ingredients.ph

It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) - a major cause of hair loss!

    good luck!

could be stress, using too many heating products on your hair, maybe you need to change your shampoo. try infusiumHi , What's the best shower filter to combat hair loss?
what on earth does a shower filter have to do with hair loss? could it just be natural hair loss, genetics, or you've been wearing a ball cap too long? i'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with how the water falls on your head or how much rust is in the water. if that was the case, i would be bald right now....
To some this may sound silly, but to me it makes sense. Water %26amp; chemicals can affect your hair so I have been told, I bought a filter for my shower off of the web. Sorry I can't remember what the site was. But if you search for shower head filters you will get some idea's. It did not stop my hair from falling out but it did help the condition. I am loosing my hair too but I am a woman and it is a big problem finding out anything except what I said in my group explanation. Try some of the online sites for hair loss. Forget Nioxin it will do nothing. You need something that blocks the hair loss I think its DHT if you go online you can read everything about this and I think its true for guys. I have tons of books on the subject searching for an intelligent answer other than its hereditary or old age!!!!
Quick... get your hands on NIOXIN system it comes for chemically or non-chemically treated hair. They have advance formulas for advance hair loss. Also there might be a huge possibility that is genetic. It might be in your family pedigree somewhere down the tree. You may e-mail me directly if you need further info.

There are tons of products on the market for this, unfortunately, most of them do very little to help and some actually speed up the process because they give you a false since of security without doing anything for you. Lots of things can cause premature hair loss besides genitic disposition. Stress is a big factor that can speed it up. Glandular imbalance can be the culprit as well. Have your friend see a doctor for simple blood test that can diagnose the reason the hair loss is occuring instead of just guessing. If he learns why, the slowing or stopping of the hair loss can then be addressed properly and with the best chance of success.

I have tried many hair loss products and they were all junk with the exception of one....Provillus. This is also the only product that has an ingredient approved by the FDA to regrow hair. Give it a try, it helped me a lot.

PS. Im only 22 years old
He? Her? Make up your mind, bub.

There are a lot of products that are very good at emptying your wallet, but do precious little to fight hair loss. Your best weapon is a good attitude. Don't let the amount of hair on your head dictate your worth.
