Hair loss getting quite extreme...is this normal for male pattern baldness?

Hi all, my doctor diagnosed me with male-pattern baldness. However, I've been on Propecia for almost 2 months and the hair loss has only increased. Its so bad that when i run my fingers through my hair, I have hair with roots between my fingers. Is this normal for male-pattern baldness or is my doctor wrong in his diagnosis. Furthermore, I got my thyroid tested and the results are within the range, with a TSH of 3.6.

Can someone help me out?Hair loss getting quite extreme...is this normal for male pattern baldness?
If you Doctor diagnosed MPB let's assume is right, but maybe it's a good idea to get a second opinion.

If Propecia doesn't work for you, try the new Dutasteride it supposedly blocks 93% of the DHT (stuff that causes MPB).

Also you should combine your oral products with a topical product like Minoxidil.

Just to share : Been on minoxidil for about a year and a half and have not seen even the smallest amount of regrowth that i almost fell into depression.

My hair only started visibly growing after doubtfully trying out the various natural techniques to re-grow lost hair @ http://www.regrowmyhair.info

I would highly recommend this easy to follow step-by-step guide with pictures to anyone who is suffering from hair loss right now.

Anyway, its also a cheaper and effective way of re-growing lost hair compared to those unnatural ways which may involve harsh chemicals that may have side effects.
Also try Evening Primrose Oil supplements (good source of Omega 3). It helps to prevent the chemical conversion of testosterone in your scalp that causes the hair to fall out.

Try getting your TSH measured once more as 3.6 is just beyond the new normal range of 0.3 -3.0. It could have gone higher since your last test. Mine went up by more than 3 in just a few weeks. Also get your T4 checked, the free thyroid hormone in your blood.

A dermatologist can tell you if your hairloss is typical of male-pattern baldness.
It's hard to explain but this is what i know:

*60% is genetics

*Due the stress the baldness increases its speed to loose hair.

*eating a lot of fat food increases the speed of loosing hair.

Use neutral shampoo, dont use mouse, dont smoke, drink alcohol, do some sport, eat a lot of nuts and fish (omega3),

use eucerin ph5 in all your body.

My brothers , my father and my uncle are BALD, I have a lot of hair, my conclusion, meditation, sport, healthy food and avoid harsh comments from other people.
If your hair loss is due to an abnormal hormonal imbalance - phytosterols might work. They are plant based nutrients that support our organs' production of all sorts of enzymes and substances they secrete, including hormones. They balance the body - rather than force it. A modulator, not a stimulator.

One source is wild Mexican yam.
I am over 60. I started losing hair when I was around 23.... from a little tiny patch (looked like a scar) at the back. By the time I was 50 I was bald.....and now silvered hair. However I found a solution for both....thanks to the latest trend.

I shaved my hair...and became a skin head. This way..I am following the trend....and due to my unseen ';grey'; silvered hair...because it is shaven....I also do not look that old. You see people funnily enough measure age by the colour of hair...rather by the wrinkles on the face.
