Im only 18, my hair is seriously thinning. I have Caucasian hair. It is normal for everyones hair to fall out. Mine is ridiculous though!! I use that main-n-tail stuff, and be-beauty vitamins, I use Nutri-ox. For the most part, (if I keep it up regularly, it helps) but not dramatically, or noticeably. I've tried doing nothing special to it, just normal washing, to let it grow naturally. That did nothing good for me.
I rarely put my hair up w/ a pony tail bc that breaks your hair.
I don't straighten it bc I dont want heat damage. I blow dry it, but I switch from warm and cool.. to avoid the heat. I have blonde hair and then blonder high lights, but I know thats not preventing hair growth, and I rarely get it colored. I rarely get hair cuts either, I should get more but I dont like to. I also dont have any dead ends. Its healthy besides it falling out. Its pretty long and thin.
Any products work for you?? I feel like Ill wake up one day with no hair. seriously. And no Im not sick! The only factor I havent mentioned is that I take adderall, twice a day. That is an amphetamine (like meth is) and everyone knows how ugly ppl get on meth. My doctors never warned me or talked about loosing hair and Ive been taking it for over ten years. This rapid hair loss has been going on almost two years.
I would appreciate ALL serious answers!!! Please don't say immature things, Im not a druggie. Im not sick in any way. I am really healthy in every other way. Having pretty hair is something I care about a lot bc mine used to be great! So this makes me really sad. :/
Thank you for your input. (If you give it lol)Im 18 %26amp; have serious hair loss problems. What tips/products or advice works from your experience?
Ok, first Adderall is not like Meth.. not at all, so please don't think that way! You are doing amazing things, all good things for your hair! yes you're right, the highlighting can break your hair if overdone, but not make it fall out!
Bad eating habits can definitely have something to do with it as well as thyroid issues. Stress, surgeries, birth control pills or shots (this is a BIG ONE! ) My daughter was on the shot once a month.. lost almost all her hair, I had to cut it very short for her and it was horrible! Then she tried a low dose bc pill and the same thing happened..so have those things checked.. After you know all is well the main thing that helps hair to grow in and stay in is deep massage on the scalp. strong massage will move your scalp around on your skull and get the blood flow moving! When you read about these ';hair lose treatments'; like Rogaine etc they all say to rub the product in deeply for 10 to 15 minutes a day.. !! The massage is the most important part. most of us with fine hair treat our hair and scalp so delicately that we are doing damage. try it for one month.. I am sure you will start to feel little stubble on your scalp, this is new growth!
feel free to keep me posted as I would happy to help any way I can!Im 18 %26amp; have serious hair loss problems. What tips/products or advice works from your experience?
Catch it in time!
http://nohairloss.org worked wonders for me, their exercises reversed my hair loss.
It has helped me and many other people I know.
I can't reccommend it enough. :)
Here a few simple home remedies which can be tried at home to control hair fall.
1.Rinse your hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea this helps hair grow..
2. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair.
3. Massage with olive oil before going to bed at night and next morning, wash off the hair gently..
4. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea.Massage well and shampoo.
5. Beat two eggs, and add two tablespoons of water to it. Rinse hair and pour the egg mixture over the hair.Massage the scalp well and leave for 10 minutes. Then wash it.
