I have a male ferret that is roughly 5 years old. He lost his hair around his back side a little over a year ago but seemed to grow back. However, it is now gone again. Recently, he urinates randomly and does it in open spaces. This is odd because when he used used to accidently go outside of his cage he would go in one of two cornerrs in a certain room. Now its everywhere and he sometimes urinates in two places within 15 minutes. It is usually just a few drops, which i thought was odd. One more issue is that he will walk over something and urinate a little over it, almost like he is marking it. I have read on the common adrenal disease that ferrets can get. Do all these things match the disease or is this something completely different. any information would be helpful. ThanksFerret Problem? Urinary problems and hair loss?

In the meantime, you ferret is adrenal. That means his prostate gland is likely enlarged. This will cause him to be unable to urinate as much, and as often, and eventually may stop him from urinating at all, killing him.
Also, the enlarged prostate can get infected, causing pus to come out which is hard to notice. We had one pass away from a prostate infection that I never caught.
He does have adrenal disease, and likely a prostate infection or enlarged prostate. Please get him to a vet who does adrenal surgeries. They will take out the adrenal gland and tumor, and from there they can check and see if his prostate is enlarged. If so, they can put him on one of two medications meant to help the prostate not get any bigger or irritated.
If you need help with names of medications or finding a vet, please join the group or message me.
